The champion of Temomi sencha, Hiruma san, is always up to new challenge.  This is one of many trails of creating sweet, fragrant and sophisticated black tea with honey like texture and flavour without the gift of leafhopper like Taiwanese honey black tea.  He just chose the cultiver fit for this, and harvest that fit for making such tea.  When I purchased his black tea this year, I just tasted without much expectation or knowledge... but, brewed with attention.  The tea liquor was a blight and beautiful amber color.  I think I lowered the temperature enough so that the tea gave me this very rich honey like texture on the palate, sweet and so fragrant, but, not overwhelming.  It is sweet and beautiful just like any other tea Hiruma san makes...  You can detect the honey like sensation subtly but enough through your 2nd and 3rd infusion.
