This is amazing... Japanese black teas have been disappointing, in a way, that they all try to be sutble or with no punch, emphasizing too much on "no bitterness" factor and healthy aspect.  But, this was sensational.  Nicely roasted, sweet, rich and buttery start to long finish with autumn earth.  This is made with a blend of tea leaves grown primarily for making green tea, but, not the trendy Yabukita variety, but, the blend of native tea plants that have been in the region more than 100 years.  You taste the earth definitely.  High montain plateau of Ishitobi.
