Variety: Gyokuro 玉露

Origin: Yabe, Yame, Fukuoka

Tea maker: Yuji Kurihara

Harvest: 2014

Beautiful leaves with a white powderlike coverage to suggest the high quality of leaves, trace of white dusting of dawny hair is a true sign of tea makers' masterful touch to the tea.  Water color is clear with little bit of greenish golden yellow.  Soft of the nose with slight flowery green with hint of roast in the background.  Very soft and elegant finish.

Maybe because this is for competition, which means must not have any flaw, this tea is impecable and with no fault to speak of.  But, it's rather boring, too stable to my taste.  It's just too perfect....

Brewing suggestion:

10 g /80 ml water  *serves about 4 to 5 cups of 10 ml servings each brew

1st infusion : at 40C brew for 3 to 5 minutes  (to your taste) each serving at 10ml

2nd infusion : at 60C brew for 1 minutes 

3rd infusion : at 70C brew for 1 minutes
