Hokumei - Icho (bihakko asamushi)

from 9.75

Name: Honnori

Variety: Icho (bi hakko asamushi)

Origin: Iruma, Saitama

Tea maker: Yoshiaki Hiruma

Harvest: 2016

Plant variety: Hokumei

Beautiful needle like tea with dark green color.  The brew has surprizing azuki bean paste or salted cherry blossom, and soft citrus and cinnamon on the nose first well blended with the overtone of sencha roast flavor.  It almost like you are having sencha with Japanese sweet without actually eating the sweet at the moment.  Another magical moment by masterful craftman, Hiruma.
